Cisneros Media Distribution (CMD) announced the hiring of Helen Jurado, a 16-year industry professional, to solidify its stronghold on the Latin American market. As Senior Director of Sales & Business Development, Helen will report directly to Cesar Diaz, the company’s Vice President.
“Helen brings her accomplished experience to CMD and to the Latin American market, where she has excelled throughout her career,” Mr. Diaz stated. “It will be a seamless transition for her as she has long-standing relationships and a distinguished reputation in the region; not to mention her proven track record of maximizing product revenue through multi-platform sales. She’ll definitely be an asset to our team.”
At Cisneros Media Distribution, Jurado will be responsible for maximizing profitability of the Cisneros Media’s vast catalogue in Latin America, developing new and creative multi-platform strategies in order to fully exploit the revenue potential of programs, analyzing and identifying growth opportunities, while exploring new avenues of business and continuing the growth of CMD’s client base in the region.
Prior to joining Cisneros Media Distribution, Helen Jurado served as Vice President of Sales & Distribution, Latin America and U.S. Hispanic, for BBC Worldwide. During her tenure at BBC, Jurado became a valued member of its international executive team. Her career flourished through the years as she was instrumental in the company’s growth and expansion in the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American territories, brokering new business deals and associations, and developing and establishing multi-platform sales models and strategies for the British broadcaster.
