Cisneros Media, the corporate division encompassing the Cisneros’ media and entertainment businesses, announced a partnership with Part Time Hero Productions, founded by celebrated game show host Jeff Sutphen, to develop and produce “American Girl Trapped on a Telenovela,” an English-language comedy series with a Latin twist for the U.S. general market.

The announcement comes in anticipation of the industry’s first major international convention of the year, NATPE 2014, to be held at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach from January 27th through the 29th, where the newly established company will operate out of Suite 115 on the Tresor Tower’s 31st floor.
Venevision Productions, a Cisneros Media production company and the leading independent producer of Spanish-language programing in the United States, announced the signing of a multi-year contract with Enrique Santos to host a new television show for the Univision Communications, Inc., UniMas network.

Venevision Productions, the Cisneros Media production house based in Miami, announces it’s about to begin production of the telenovela “Voltea Pa’ Que Te Enamores,” a multifaceted story of love that does not stop with the main characters, but rather goes on to explore the many different varieties of contemporary love that are intertwined among the supporting cast.

Cisneros Media is the latest Latin American media heavyweight to target the U.S. market, setting a deal to develop an English-language comedy “American Girl Trapped on a Telenovela” with gameshow vet Jeff Sutphen.
“Trapped on a Telenovela” centers on Sarah Forlenza, a Puerto Rican-Italian actress from Brooklyn who has lands a role on a telenovela after struggling to find work. The hitch is that she doesn’t speak any Spanish.
